18-Year-Old Nepali Climber Conquers World’s 14 Highest Summits

Nima Rinji Sherpa, an 18-year-old Nepali mountaineer, has etched his name in history by becoming the youngest person to summit all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks. This remarkable feat was achieved when Sherpa reached the summit of Tibet’s 8,027-meter-high Shisha Pangma.

Sherpa’s father, Tashi Sherpa, expressed pride and confidence in his son’s abilities, stating, “He reached the summit this morning. He had trained well, and I was confident he would do it.”

This incredible achievement is a testament to Sherpa’s strength, resilience, and passion for mountaineering. He comes from a family of record-holding mountaineers and began high-altitude climbing at 16.

Nima Nuru Sherpa, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, hailed Sherpa’s success as “a proud moment for our country,” noting that it “has given a message that nothing is impossible if you have strong determination.”
Nepali climbers, particularly ethnic Sherpas, are renowned for their expertise and play a vital role in the Himalayan climbing industry.
