2023: Kebbi Youth Groups Support IBB For Reps Slot

Some youth groups in Kebbi state particularly from Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency have resolved to support the intention of Ibrahim Babandiga Birema (IBB) after he consented to their call to vie for the seat of Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency in Kebbi state.

The Chairman of Kebbi youth development initiative (KYDI), Muhammad Hussain said that the decision to call barrister Banbangida to contest the seat of federal house of representatives was based on the believe that as an experienced lawyer and a youth massive youth representation at the lower chamber is possible, because it has been dominated by aged people who only enrich themselves at the expense of our teaming youth hence our resolve to prevail on the leadership of Kebbi state Peoples Democratic Party to give the slot to IBB he said.

Tukur Muhammad Raha who leads Bunza youth Alliance who also supported the idea and also said giving opportunity to an educated youth to serve as member federal House of Representatives will boost the chances of youth getting to the top corridors of power to right the wrong of the past to give each citizen what he deserves as Nigerian.

While accepting the call from the youth to seek the slot, Ibrahim Babangida Birema said there is no better time than now for youth to partake in politics as it is the only way to rescue the nation and to serve constituents who were left to their fate by underperforming sitting members “I hope to get the slot and I also pledged to do my best to turn around the fortunes of youth in Kebbi state”

Babangida joined the race for federal house of representatives seat following the the death of Abba Muhammad Bello son of former minister of defence Dr. Bello Haliru who died after winning the primary election under the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Abba died few months to elections creating a vacancy .
