30,000 Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Unite Against #FearlessOctober Protest

In a powerful display of unity and commitment to peace, over 30,000 ex-agitators from the Niger Delta region gathered in Warri to reject the planned #FearlessOctober protests. This collective stance, conveyed through their leaders at a stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Presidential Amnesty Programme, underscores their faith in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to address regional challenges.

Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, emphasized the vital importance of maintaining harmony in the region. “Constructive engagement with the government is the most effective pathway to progress and development,” he stated.

Otuaro urged the people of Niger Delta to shun protests, emphasizing that “the problems of our region will be resolved through collaborative efforts with President Tinubu’s administration.” He stressed that “it is our collective responsibility to ensure the Niger Delta remains secure and supportive of federal initiatives.”
