Anthony Joshua Faces 28-Day Boxing Suspension After Devastating Loss To Daniel Dubois

Former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been suspended from boxing for 28 days following his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The British Boxing Board of Control issued the standard ban due to Joshua’s technical knockout loss, aligning with Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports guidelines.

Joshua’s fourth career defeat has sparked concerns about his future in boxing. Former boxer Carl Froch questioned Joshua’s desire to continue, stating, “I don’t think AJ wants it anymore; he shouldn’t be boxing. That performance was weak.”

However, Joshua remains determined to reclaim the world title, assuring fans, “We came up short, but look, we have to focus on all the positives… The problem is that it’s far from over yet.”
Joshua’s suspension is unlikely to impact his immediate plans, as no future fights are scheduled.
