Young African Lady Graduates with First-class in Marine Engineering

Reports reaching us at African Future Leadership Magazine, indicate that a young and brilliant Ghanian lady, Monica Nancy Candny, has been celebrated for graduating with first-class honours in Marine Engineering.

According to the reports, Monica who attended the Regional Maritime University, Ghana, West Africa, bagged her Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering.
It was revealed that she made her rare feat public recently through media channels.
Monica was extra-ordinarily elated graduating with flying colours having bagged a first-class degree.

In her words, “Today I have graduated with first-class honor in BSc Marine Engineering. I am grateful to God. If it were not for God where could I have been?,” she enthused.

Interestingly, Monica had earlier attended the Liberia Maritime Training Institute (LMTI), Liberia where she bagged an Associate Degree in Marine/Electrical Engineering before proceeding for her Bachelor’s Degree.

And to celebrate her feat, she posted beautiful pictures of the 2022 graduation ceremony where she and her colleagues wore the marine uniform.

More than anything, Monica gives thanks to the Liberia Maritime Authority, Liberia’s international ship and Corporate registries, and Liberia Maritime Training Institute.

Also, she thanked her family for the contributions to her success. To express her gratitude she said, “My family, my mentors, Linkedin friends and everyone who contributed to my success, thanks, for making me who I am today.”

Continuing, she explained, “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work,” and by this she is determined to inspire upcoming graduands.

In a related account, another, an exceptional and inspiring Nigerian woman, named Mervin Azeta achieved tremendous success after graduating with a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering and Reservoir Engineering.

It was revealed that Mervin Azeta who now works as a Lead Engineer with Schlumberger had narrated that growing up she was told Engineering is not quite a discipline for girls.

She however, posited, “To think I was once told that engineering isn’t quite a discipline for girls; and they would normally drop off after a few years of undergrad study, makes me shudder today. Well, look how far I have come by GOD’S infinite grace, love and mercy,” she expressed on popular media channels, very recently.
