LASG Engaged Media To Strengthen Trust In Public Governance And Amplify Health Infrastructure

In its efforts to strengthen trust in public governance particularly in Lagos State, the Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu’s administration through the Ministry of Information and Strategy led by Gbenga Omotosho convened a Joint Citizens Engagement Forum on Friday 24th January, 2025 at STO Conference Centre in Ikeja, where Stakeholders were invited including Media Practitioners.

In his opening remarks, the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho emphasized that the gathering was to further attests to the commitment of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to an all-inclusive governance where every voice counts. In a world where information disseminates at the speed of light and where the public’s perception can make or break institutions. it becomes necessary to have periodic stakeholders’ engagement in order to ensure that the information about government’s activities are accurately disseminated without ambiguity.

The Honourable Commissioner, Gbenga Omotosho announced that the remodeled Massey Children Hospital after completion this year will be the biggest pediatric hospital in West Africa; the administration will also construct a 280-bed General Hospital in Ojo, and a Psychiatric Hospital in Ketu Ejinrin. The upgrading of Infrastructure at Ibeju Lekki General Hospital and Lagos General Hospital are also progressing steadily.
This year, the Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu’s administration vision remains clear: to build a Greater Lagos that works for all.

They will be focusing on sustainable infrastructure, drive economic growth, and deepen community impact through innovative programs.
