President Bola Tinubu Back In Office After Foreign Sojourn

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has recommenced his presidential duties upon his return to the presidential villa in Abuja, following a foreign trip spanning two weeks. This update was communicated by the Presidency on Thursday, marked by the release of a brief video.

The 27-second clip, disseminated by Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, captures President Tinubu, accompanied by a cadre of aides, progressing towards his office within the villa. Accompanying the video, a caption declared the president’s resumption and briefing with key officials.

The caption reads “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back at his desk this morning, receives briefing from HM @bosuntijani , NCC EVC and HM Wale Edun, HM of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy at the State House,”

Notably, the Presidency chose not to publicize photos or additional footage of President Tinubu’s return, which stirred speculation among the public and online communities, as NTA—the state television—had previously announced his return without visual documentation.

Traditionally, moments of departure and arrival featuring President Tinubu have been well-documented and often involve prominent government figures at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. These visuals serve as a testament to the presidency’s events and travails and often include salutations or welcome backs from high-ranking officials.

President Tinubu’s recent trip encompassed discussions with the Netherlands’ Prime Minister and attendance at a specialized World Economic Forum session in Saudi Arabia, followed by further commitments in Europe.
