The Nigerian Government has declared Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024, as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. This announcement was made by Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, acting on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement in Abuja.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of prayers for national unity, stability, and prosperity, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administrative goals of enhancing the security of lives and property across the country.

The Minister of Interior also encouraged all Muslim faithful and the Nigerian populace at large to support the government’s strategies aimed at economic diversification and national recovery.

Concluding the message, Dr. Tunji-Ojo wished the Muslim Ummah a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration and urged all Nigerians to contribute toward achieving a prosperous future for the nation and its future generations.
