President Tinubu Orders BPP Head, Mamman Ahmadu To Step Down

In a strategic move, President Bola Tinubu has instructed Mamman Ahmadu, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), to step down from his position.

This development was shared by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, on Saturday. Ahmadu’s ordered resignation marks a significant step in a broader initiative to reform the public procurement framework, aiming to augment the organization’s operational efficiency and its commitment to transparency.

Moreover, President Tinubu has directed that Ahmadu should transfer his duties to the Bureau’s most senior official in the interim, pending the appointment of a new Director-General.
