CAN Condemns Suicide Bombing In Borno, Urged Govt. To Protect Citizens

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has vehemently condemned the recent suicide bombings in Gwoza, Borno State, describing the attacks as a “stark reminder of the evil that terrorism represents.”

“The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is deeply worried by the recent suicide attacks in Gwoza, Borno State, which have claimed numerous lives and injured many others,” said Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of CAN.

CAN expressed concern over the resurgence of such attacks, which threaten the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, and urged the government to “step up efforts to protect all citizens, especially those in vulnerable areas.”

The Association called on religious leaders and all Nigerians to “unite against terrorism and violence, promoting peace and harmony instead.”

“We must come together to defeat this senseless act of violence and ensure that Nigeria is a safe and secure place for all,” Archbishop Okoh emphasized.

By condemning the attacks and urging unity against terrorism, CAN aims to promote a collective response to the threat of terrorism and ensure a peaceful and harmonious society for all Nigerians.
