100 -Level Student Of UNN Found Dead On Campus

In a devastating turn of events, a young and promising student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has met an untimely demise.

Favour, a 100-level student of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, was found dead on campus, leaving the university community in shock and grief.

The deceased was last seen on Tuesday attending her chemistry practical, but her disappearance was only reported when she failed to return to her hostel. A search effort was launched, and tragically, her lifeless body was discovered on Friday evening near the Eni-Njoku male hostel, close to the university’s stadium junction.

Disturbing videos and photos circulating on social media show the corpse dumped in a drainage system, with some students filming and commenting on the scene. The university’s security department has since recovered the body and deposited it in the UNN morgue.

This incident comes on the heels of a similar tragedy at Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo state, where a final-year student was found dead last month. The university management is yet to issue an official statement on the incident, leaving students and faculty in a state of uncertainty and mourning.

As the investigation into Favour’s death continues, the university community is left to grapple with the loss of a young and promising life. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of prioritizing student safety and well-being on campus.
