Five Year Old In Ibadan Mauled By Dog

In a heart-wrenching incident, a five-year-old girl, Moriana Maruf, met her untimely demise after being brutally attacked by a dog in Adagbada, Apete, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The vicious canine, owned by Mrs. Eunice Kolade, turned against the innocent child, leaving her with fatal injuries.

“The dog attacked the little girl beyond recognition. She was taken to a private hospital and was later referred to UCH. She did not survive it,” a source revealed, painting a gruesome picture of the attack.

The tragic event occurred on Sunday at approximately 7:40 am, with the dog’s ferocity leaving witnesses in shock.

A resident, Mr. Sunday, humanely euthanized the dog after the incident, bringing an end to its reign of terror.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this devastating event, the state police command has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Adewale Osifeso, the Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, seeking to uncover the truth behind this senseless tragedy.

Moriana’s tragic fate serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible pet ownership and the need for vigilance in preventing such avoidable disasters.
