Senator Ali Ndume, Senate Chief Whip, has made a startling claim that President Bola Tinubu is being misinformed by individuals within the Presidential Villa, who are shielding him from the harsh realities of the country. This, he believes, has led to the President’s alleged unawareness of Nigeria’s current state.
Ndume’s comments come on the heels of a Senate resolution urging the government to address the widespread hunger and food insecurity plaguing the nation. He co-sponsored a motion highlighting the urgent need to address food insecurity and market exploitation in Nigeria.

The Senator expressed concern that the government’s inaction on the security challenge is exacerbating the food security crisis. He stated, “Mr. President is not in the picture of what is happening outside the villa. He has been fenced off and caged.”
Ndume urged President Tinubu to “wake up” and “open his doors to those who will tell him the truth,” emphasizing that Nigerians are growing increasingly angry due to the government’s inaction on food scarcity and security challenges.
