Dele Momodu Urges Tinubu To Enforce Strict Discipline To Avert Crises

In a candid and thought-provoking open letter, Dele Momodu, a former presidential aspirant and CEO of Ovation International, has urged President Bola Tinubu to enforce strict discipline in his administration to avert potential crises.

Momodu expressed concern over Nigeria’s current state, emphasizing the need for stringent measures to address the country’s challenges.

Momodu advised Tinubu to heed advice from Senator Ali Ndume, who was recently sacked for criticizing the administration, and to take action against Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for disrespecting Tinubu in the Fubara issue.

He also highlighted the economic challenges facing the country, stressing the need for frugality over wasteful spending.
Momodu suggested investments in vocational skills, agriculture, and education instead of cash distributions.

He warned Tinubu about the dangers of unchecked hero-worship from National Assembly members and emphasized the importance of enforcing discipline among his allies and colleagues.

The open letter serves as a clarion call to action, urging President Tinubu to take bold steps to address the country’s challenges and ensure a better future for us all.

The open letter reads;

“Dear President Tinubu,

As a concerned citizen and friend, I am compelled to share my thoughts with you. Our nation is at a critical juncture, and I implore you to take bold action to address the pressing issues that threaten our progress.

Firstly, our economy is in shambles. The reckless spending of scarce resources must cease.

Investing in frivolous projects and distributing cash handouts will only exacerbate the problem. Instead, I urge you to prioritize frugality and allocate funds towards meaningful development initiatives.

Secondly, I caution you against the dangers of unchecked hero-worship. Some individuals at the National Assembly have elevated you to an unrealistic pedestal, which can lead to complacency and poor decision-making.

I advise you to listen to the counsel of Senator Ali Ndume, who has demonstrated the courage to speak truth to power.

Thirdly, discipline must be enforced within your administration. The recent disrespect shown by Nyesom Wike in the Fubara matter must not go unchecked. As a leader, it is your duty to address such behavior and maintain order.

In conclusion, I urge you to take these words to heart and act decisively to address the challenges facing our nation. The future of Nigeria depends on it.”
