Tobi Amusan Suffers Setback At Olympics, Misses Out On 100m Hurdles Final

In a stunning turn of events, Nigeria’s world record holder, Tobi Amusan, suffered a devastating setback at the Paris Olympics, finishing third in the semi-final heat of the women’s 100m hurdles with a time of 12.55 seconds.

Despite being one of the top favorites to clinch the gold medal, Amusan’s performance fell short of securing automatic qualification for the final, leaving her Olympic dreams hanging in the balance.

With a time that placed her ninth overall, Amusan found herself agonizingly close to securing a spot in the final, but ultimately missed out on the coveted top eight positions.

This disappointing outcome marks another setback for Team Nigeria at the Olympics, as Amusan was widely regarded as the country’s brightest hope for a podium finish.

Her remarkable achievements on the track, including her world record, had generated immense excitement and anticipation among Nigerian fans, making this setback all the more heart-wrenching.
