Tinubu’s Administration Vows To Complete Abandoned Projects

In a bid to fulfill campaign promises and bring relief to Nigerians, President Bola Tinubu’s administration has reaffirmed its commitment to completing all abandoned and inherited projects.

This pledge was made by the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, during an inspection tour of the Ogbese Multi-purpose Dam in Ekiti State.

The dam, which began construction in 2009 but stalled due to funding issues, has received a boost with Tinubu’s approval of funds for its completion.

Upon finishing, the project will provide water, generate hydro-power, and support irrigation, ultimately enhancing agriculture and creating jobs.

Utsev emphasized that the administration is dedicated to completing all abandoned projects, citing the commissioning of dams in Kogi, Benue, and Jigawa States, as well as various water supply schemes nationwide.

With 70% of the Ogbese Dam project completed, the minister assured that the remaining work, including the installation of hydro-power components and water supply systems, will be finished soon.

This renewed commitment to completing abandoned projects signals a positive shift in the government’s approach to infrastructure development and its impact on citizens’ lives.
