AIDO Announces Nominees For Award At 2024 Convention In Nigeria

In a grand celebration of exceptional leadership and dedication, the African International Development Organisation (AIDO) has announced its esteemed nominees for the 2024 award ceremony.

This highly anticipated event, themed “A United Global Africa: Reconnecting through Culture, Pan-Africanism, Trade, and Investment,” promises to be a watershed moment in fostering development and social change across the continent.

Among the distinguished nominees is Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, recognized for her tireless efforts in promoting women’s empowerment and education. Joining her is Franca Elena Marquez, the Vice President of Columbia, lauded for her commitment to sustainable development and social justice.

Ronnie Brunswijk, the Vice President of Suriname, is also nominated for his remarkable work in promoting cultural diversity and economic growth.

Traditional leaders, such as Adeyeye Enitan, the Ooni of Ife, and Yahaya Abubaka, the Etsu Nupe, have been recognized for their invaluable contributions to preserving cultural heritage and promoting unity.

Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, the President of African Development Bank, is nominated for his outstanding leadership in driving economic development and poverty reduction.

The governors of various Nigerian states, including Lagos, Imo, and Abia, have also been nominated for their exemplary leadership in driving growth and development.

Prominent business leaders and humanitarians, such as Aliko Dangote and Obinna Obi Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), are recognized for their philanthropic efforts and contributions to economic growth.

The convention, scheduled for November 4-9, 2024, at the Federal Palace Hotel, is poised to be a groundbreaking event.

It will showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, economic potential, and contributions to the Pan-African movement, while tackling pressing issues like human rights and economic development.

With investors and dignitaries from Europe and the Commonwealth in attendance, this convention is expected to be a catalyst for meaningful connections, impactful investments, and collaborative initiatives that will shape the future of Africa.
