President Tinubu Appoints New NIA, DSS Heads

In a significant move, President Bola Tinubu has appointed new heads for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Service (DSS).

Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed takes the helm at NIA, while Adeola Ajayi assumes leadership of the DSS.

The appointments follow the resignation of the previous heads of the two agencies.

Mohammed, a seasoned foreign service officer, brings over two decades of experience to the NIA, having served in various roles and countries.

Ajayi, the new DSS chief, has risen through the ranks, serving as State Director in several states.

President Tinubu has charged the new security chiefs to work together to reposition the agencies for better results, tackle security challenges, and enhance collaboration with sister agencies and the Office of the National Security Adviser.
