Kwara State To Recruit Teaching, Non-Teaching Staff To Strengthen Educational Sector

In a bid to strengthen the educational sector, the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board is set to recruit 1,600 teaching and non-teaching staff across the 16 local government areas of the state.

This move follows the approval of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to fill vacancies created by retirements, deaths, or transfers.

The recruitment exercise, which will last for three weeks, will adopt a community-based job recruitment approach, prioritizing competence and qualifications.

Successful candidates will be required to sign a bond of non-movement or transfer from their new place of work for the first five years.

This initiative aligns with the governor’s commitment to improving the educational sector, especially at the local level.

The recruitment will help address the shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff in the state, ultimately enhancing the quality of education in Kwara State.
