Farm owners in Rhenosterfontein, Rustenburg, are battling to contain the raging fires, which have already caused extensive damage to property and arable land since Saturday.
The devastating impact is evident, with a child seriously burnt, eight houses and a church destroyed in Buffelspoort, Magaliesberg.
