Bauchi PDP Elects New Executives, Vows To Take Power From APC In 2027

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State has elected new party executives, with Samaila Burga emerging as the chairman.

Burga, who was declared unopposed, vowed to lead the party to victory in the 2027 general elections, stating that the days of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are numbered.

In his acceptance speech, Burga praised the outgone leadership for their tenacity and acumen, which led to the party’s victory in the 2019 and 2023 governorship elections.

He appealed to his executives to work together to consolidate the party’s success and ensure victory in 2027.

Burga also warned against party discord in the primaries, urging unity and cooperation to achieve the party’s goals.

The state congress was attended by prominent party faithful, delegates from the 20 local governments, and top government officials, including the Deputy Governor, Auwal Jatau, and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Suleiman Abubakar.

With the new leadership in place, the Bauchi PDP is poised to take on the APC in the 2027 elections, determined to secure the presidency, governorship, National Assembly, and state assembly seats.
