The Bayelsa State Governorship Election PETITION Tribunal, sitting in Abuja, has ratified the re-election of Governor Douye Diri.
The tribunal, led by Justice Adekunle Adeleye, concluded its session today, Monday, May 27, with a dismissal of the case presented by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate Timipre Sylva from the last gubernatorial election.

In a collective judgment, the tribunal members decided that the petitioners did not provide sufficient credible evidence to substantiate any of their claims contesting the validity of the governorship election results in Bayelsa State.
Subsequently, the tribunal rejected all supplementary proof and witness affidavits filed by the petitioners.
