Building Under Construction Collapses In Lagos, Claims 3 Lives.

In a devastating incident, a building under construction at Arowojobe Estate in the Maryland area of Lagos State collapsed, resulting in the loss of three lives.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the tragedy, with Permanent Secretary Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu providing details of the response efforts.

According to Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu, “The agency received a distress call regarding a collapsed building at No. 13, Wilson Mba St., Arowojobe Estate, Maryland, Lagos, at about 3:49 a.m.”

This prompt response led to the immediate activation of the agency’s response team, which arrived at the scene at 3:58 a.m.
Upon arrival, the team discovered that a set of three terraces under construction had collapsed, trapping site workers under the rubble.
