Bulgarian Foreign Minister Receives Libyan Ambassador

The restoration of dialogue at the highest political level and the possibility of improving relations between Bulgaria and Libya in all areas of mutual interest was discussed by Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov and the Ambassador of Libya to Bulgaria Abu Baker A. Saeed Saleh.

During the meeting on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, many important issues for the two countries in terms of energy, health, education and new technologies were discussed.

As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Libya and Bulgaria in 2023, the two countries agreed on the need to create a complete review of the contractual legal framework and updating it in line with the requirements of modern realities.

The topic of the possibility of restoring the work of the Bulgarian diplomatic staff in Tripoli, Libya, was also discussed, which is called an important factor for providing a new qualitative improvement in bilateral relations.
