Chief Simon Mbanugo (SAO), patriarch of the Mbanugo family, joined his ancestors after a fulfilling, impactful, and rewarding life at 83 years old.
Pa Mbanugo, an indigene of Uhualor Village, Ihembosi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra, was a devout Catholic whose contributions to the church and community are greatly applauded by all. He lived an exemplary life, was a lover of peace, and a traditional title holder held in high esteem among his Umuenemchukwu kindred and beyond.
Pa Simon Mbanugo is blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren, who will miss his wise counsel, unalloyed love, dedication and affection he showers on all.

He will be laid to rest on Easter Tuesday at his country home, in a funeral rites that will run till Sunday, April 7, 2024 – with an Outing Mass.
Since his demise, relatives, friends and well-wishers are full of praise for a life well-spent and in service of humanity.
He is survived by 10 children among which is Mrs ifeyinwa Obi
