In a move that underscores their growing alliance, China and Russia have announced plans to conduct joint military exercises, dubbed “North-Joint 2024,” in the skies and waters around the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk.

According to China’s defense ministry, “This exercise aims to deepen the strategic cooperation level between the Chinese and Russian militaries and enhance their ability to jointly deal with security threats.”

As the two nations forge deeper ties, their partnership has been described as a “no limits” alliance, with both countries seeking to counter what they perceive as “Western hegemony.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the growing economic and trade links between Russia and China, stating that they are “yielding results.”
