Edo Election Update: INEC To Commence Result Collation Today At 10 am

The anticipation is palpable as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) prepares to unveil the outcome of the Edo State governorship election. In a significant update, INEC has announced that the collation of results will commence today at 10 am.

Dr. Anugbum Omuoha, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State, reassured stakeholders that the commission is committed to transparency and fairness. “We value the patience and cooperation of all parties involved and are dedicated to ensuring an accurate and credible outcome,” he emphasized.

As the collation process begins, tensions are running high. The Edo governorship election has been a fiercely contested race, with three main candidates vying for the top spot: Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
