FCMB Moves To Enhance Bank’s Governance, Appoints Directors

First City Monument Bank Limited (FCMB) has announced the appointment of two distinguished professionals, Ademola Adebise and Olufunmilayo Adedibu, to its board of directors.

This move aims to further enhance the bank’s governance and strategic direction.

Adebise, a respected figure in the Nigerian financial industry, brings over three decades of experience in banking, having served as the managing director of Wema Bank Plc and chairman of the board of directors of Family Homes Funds Limited.

He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Lagos Business School.

Adebise is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Adedibu, a seasoned lawyer with 32 years of post-graduation experience, joins the FCMB board as a non-executive director.

She has a wealth of experience in legal practice and banking, having served as the group general counsel and company secretary of FCMB Group.

Adedibu holds a Bachelor of Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Law from the University of Lagos, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School.

Their appointments, approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the FCMB board, further solidifying the bank’s position in the Nigerian financial landscape.
