Federal Polytechnic Ogun Develops Tricycle, Seeks Govt. Support For Mass Production

In a groundbreaking innovation, the Federal Polytechnic in Ilaro, Ogun State, has successfully developed an electric automated tricycle.

The institution is now seeking support from the Federal Government and corporate organizations to facilitate mass production.

The electric tricycle, designed and built at the polytechnic’s innovation center, has the potential to reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported vehicles and create job opportunities for young people.

The polytechnic’s rector, Dr. Mukail Akinde, emphasized the need for government funding to establish a mini assembly plant for the tricycle’s production.
The tricycle features a solar-powered panel for charging and can accommodate three people.
