Foluseke Abidemi Somolu Foundation Holds Second Public Lecture on Engineering Excellence

The Foluseke Abidemi Shomolu Foundation has concluded plans to host its second public lecture with the theme, “The place of knowledge, competence and integrity in Engineering practice”.

The event which would hold on Zoom and YouTube is scheduled to take place on September, 24th 2024.

According to a release signed and made available to the media, by Engr. Emmanuel
Akinwole, renowned power system engineer, John Ayodele, would be delivering the lecture.

The release further explained that Engr. John during his presentation would emphasize the crucial role of ethics and personal attributes in successful engineering practice in Nigeria.

However, the release reads in parts: ” This lecturer follows the inaugural event in 2018, featuring Professor James Momoh. The Foundation aims to advance engineering practice through public lectures , publications and scholarship Programmes.

“Established in 2018, the Foundation honours the legacy of Engr.Folusake Abidemi Shomolu, a distinguished Engineer and a former president of the Nigeria Society of Engineer(NSE).

“The Foundation promotes engineering excellence, professionalism, and technological advancement in Nigeria.”.
