Golden Morn Launches New Package, Reinforcing Commitment

In a groundbreaking move, Nestlé Nigeria’s iconic breakfast cereal, Golden Morn, has unveiled its new sustainable packaging, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s over three-decade legacy of providing nutritious food while championing environmental responsibility.

This innovative packaging is a testament to Golden Morn’s dedication to nourishing Nigerian families and its forward-thinking approach to sustainability.

The new packaging is carefully crafted with sustainability at its core, utilizing materials that are easier to recycle, thereby reducing environmental impact and fostering a circular economy.

This significant update reflects Golden Morn’s alignment with Nestlé’s global recycling vision, which aims to ensure that more than 95% of its plastic packaging is recyclable by 2025.

According to Wassim Elhusseini, Managing Director of Nestlé Nigeria, “Our responsibility goes beyond delivering nutritious products; we also safeguard the planet for future generations.”

He emphasized that over 80% of Nestlé’s packaging in Nigeria is now optimized for recycling, underscoring the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Golden Morn’s Category Manager, Dairy, Mr. Omofasa Orhiunu, noted that the brand is driven by purpose, dedicated to nourishing families across Nigeria while protecting the planet.

He reassured customers that the new sustainable packaging does not compromise on the great taste and nutrition that Nigerians have trusted for over 38 years.

The brand’s commitment to local sourcing is also noteworthy, with 100% of its maize and soya sourced from Nigerian farmers, supporting the local economy and empowering farming communities.

This partnership guarantees a superior product while bolstering the local economy and reinforcing Golden Morn’s position as a proudly Nigerian brand.

As Golden Morn continues to innovate and prioritize sustainability, it remains a beloved breakfast staple in Nigerian households, providing a delicious and wholesome start to the day.
