Hundreds Of PDP, ADC, LP Members Join APC In Edo State

In a significant political shift, hundreds of members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State.

The mass defection, which took place at Igueben, headquarters of the Igueben Local Government area, is seen as a major boost to the APC’s chances in the upcoming governorship election.

The defectors were welcomed by the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, Matthew Urhoghide, who assured them of equal treatment and opportunities within the party.

The APC governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, expressed confidence in his candidacy, stating that he has the support of the people.

Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole also addressed the crowd, alleging that the PDP has no valid candidate and urging voters not to waste their votes on the party.

The Deputy Governorship candidate, Dennis Idahosa, called on supporters to ensure a 100% vote for the APC in Esan Central Local Government Area.

This mass defection is a significant development in the Edo State political landscape, and its impact will be closely watched in the lead-up to the governorship election.
