Kamala Harris Takes Lead Over Donald Trump In Presidential Race

In a significant shift in the 2024 presidential race, Vice President Kamala Harris has taken the lead over former President Donald Trump, according to recent polls.

With a 50%-46% lead among registered voters and a 52%-46% lead with likely voters, Harris is gaining momentum.

The Ipsos/ABC News poll, taken August 23-27, shows Harris’ lead remains unchanged since before the Democratic National Convention.

Other polls, such as the Outward Intelligence survey and the Wall Street Journal poll, also indicate Harris’ lead, with some showing her up by more than five points.

Harris’ performance in swing states is also impressive, leading Trump by one point overall in the seven battleground states likely to decide the election. While Trump’s campaign predicts a “short-term” bump in polls for Harris, her approval rating continues to tick up since she announced her candidacy.

The polls indicate a shift in Democrats’ favor since Harris’ entrance into the race, with Democratic enthusiasm nearly doubling since her announcement.

As the 2024 presidential election heats up, Kamala Harris’ lead over Donald Trump is a significant development.
