Leadership Transitions at First Bank as Olufowose Becomes Chairman

Officially, FBN holdings on Thursday has announced the transition of leadership at First Bank of Nigeria Limited with Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale stepping down as Chairman after his tenure expiration.

Confirming his departure through an official notice on the Stock Exchange, First Bank highlights the end of a 12-year term in adherence to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s guidelines for Non-Executive Directors.

The incoming Chairman, Mr. Ebenezer Olufowose, has an impressive financial sector background that spans over 30 years and has been serving on the First Bank Board as a Non-Executive Director since April 2021.

His previous role as the Group Managing Director of First Ally Capital Limited showcases his vast experience in investment banking.

This change in leadership follows closely after the former Managing Director of First Bank Limited, Adesola Adeduntan, stepped down from his position, indicating a period of significant shifts within the company’s executive ranks.
