Linda Gyamfi, a 36-year-old youth charity founder from Tottenham, is defying conventions by participating in the Miss/Mrs Africa UK/IE beauty pageant.
Gyamfi, who will represent Ghana in the competition, aims to showcase her work helping young people from underrepresented backgrounds pursue their dream careers.
For Gyamfi, the pageant is an opportunity to “get back in tune with my femininity” and celebrate herself.
She believes that age should not be a barrier to participating in a beauty pageant, saying, “I want to pursue my dreams irrespective of my age and other obligations.”

Gyamfi’s charity, Succeed 2 the Max, has helped over 800 young people across London.
She will compete against 12 others in a series of tasks under the categories of lifestyle, charity, and empowerment, culminating in a fashion show and a performance at the finale.
By participating in the pageant, Gyamfi hopes to inspire young people to take ownership of their success and pursue their passions, regardless of age or expectations. Her journey is a testament to embracing multidimensionality and celebrating individuality.
