Malawi VP Saulos Chilima, 9 Others Perish In Plane Crash

In a somber turn of events, Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera has confirmed the heartbreaking news: the country’s Vice President Saulos Chilima, along with nine others, has died in a plane crash. President Chakwera, in a poignant televised statement, informed the nation of the grave outcome following the discovery of the aircraft’s wreckage in a forested area.

The military rescue team shared photographs with AFP, capturing the somber scene as army personnel were pictured among the fog-shrouded debris. The remnants bore the identifiable registration number of the Malawi Army’s Dornier 228-202K airplane, sealing the tragic fate of the flight’s passengers and crew.
