Media Accreditation Portal For Edo Gubernatorial Election Closes Today, Says INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a stern reminder to media organizations, emphasizing that the accreditation portal for the Edo State governorship election will close tonight at midnight, with no plans for an extension.

According to the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, “The deadline is sacrosanct. There will be no extension of time while unaccredited media organisations will not be allowed to observe voting in the field or collation of results at the various centres.”

With the accreditation portal closing imminently, media organizations are urged to act quickly to ensure their participation in the upcoming election.
