Mobile internet users up by 12.5% in 2022 in Egypt: CAPMAS

Egypt has seen a 12.5 percent increase in the number of mobile internet users up till the end of October 2022, according to report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The number of mobile internet users increased to 69.5 million, up from 61.8 million in the corresponding period of 2021.

The number of cell phone subscribers declined by 2.3 percent to 99.1 million by October, down from 101.4 million last year, the report said.

The number of fixed internet users reached 11.9 million by October 2022 compared to 11.1 million in the corresponding period, a 7.2 percent increase.

USB modem users went down from 2.9 million to 2.1 million, a 27.6 percent decline.
