My Father Disowned Me Several Times, Says Seyi Awolowo

In a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, Big Brother Naija star Seyi Awolowo shared poignant details about his challenging upbringing in a polygamous home.

As the grandson of Obafemi Awolowo, Seyi revealed that his father disowned him and some of his siblings multiple times, reducing their identities to mere names on a list.
Seyi’s father, who had three wives, kept tabs on each child, and at times, severed ties with them.

Seyi recalled receiving letters that stripped him of his family name, leaving him with only his first name, “Seyi.”
