Naira redesign: I support Emefiele – Ben Murray-Bruce

Former Nigerian lawmaker, Ben Murray-Bruce, has questioned the motive behind the recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari by the governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Murray-Bruce queried why the APC governors visited Buhari over the naira redesign, noting that they couldn’t make such a visit while the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, was on strike.

His observation was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.

The former lawmaker said he supported Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, insisting he was on track.

He wrote: “But why are the APC Governors visiting Buhari over the naira redesign? How many times did they visit Buhari when they refused to pay salaries of civil servants? When 3 million students were at home over ASUU strike, they did not visit. Emefiele is on track. I support him!”
