Abdul Samad Rabiu, founder and chairman of BUA Group, has once again demonstrated his appreciation for his employees’ hard work and dedication. The Nigerian billionaire has shared $20.7 million in cash rewards with long-serving employees of the BUA Group, a leading African manufacturing and industrial conglomerate.
Recognizing Loyalty and Service
The rewards were announced at the BUA Night of Excellence Long Service Awards, held at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos. The event honored employees for their years of service, loyalty, and contributions to the company. Rabiu approved cash awards ranging from $3,450 to $691,000, benefiting employees across various levels of the organization.
Prioritizing Employee Welfare
This gesture is consistent with BUA’s reputation for valuing its employees. In 2024, Rabiu approved a 50% salary increase across the group, demonstrating his commitment to supporting employees during challenging economic times. Additionally, in 2021, he awarded a $4.8 million share bonus to BUA Cement employees who helped maintain profitability during the pandemic.
