NPFM Demands Action On #EndBadGovernance, Threatens Indefinite Protest After Curfew Lifts

In a bold move, the Nigerian Patriotic Front Movement (NPFM), a key player in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests, has declared its intention to resume an indefinite protest in Kano State once the curfew imposed on the state is lifted.

This decision comes after President Bola Tinubu’s recent national address failed to address the group’s demands, leaving them feeling frustrated and disillusioned.

According to Anas Adamu, the secretary of the NPFM, the group is determined to continue its protests until the government takes concrete actions to address their grievances.

Adamu emphasized that the President’s speech was nothing short of an empty promise, failing to provide any tangible solutions to the country’s pressing issues.

The NPFM has already begun mobilizing its members in preparation for the resumption of protests, which will be indefinite in nature.

The group is calling for the immediate release of peaceful protesters arrested during the recent hunger protests, reiterating their commitment to non-violent demonstrations.

They also made it clear that they do not support violence or destruction of properties, advocating instead for peaceful protests as enshrined in the constitution.

Furthermore, Adamu challenged the rationale behind arresting protesters who flew Russian flags during the demonstrations, questioning the logic behind such actions.

The group is set to issue a statement clarifying its stance on the matter.

This development highlights the escalating tensions and frustrations among Nigerians demanding better governance and economic reforms.

The NPFM’s vow to intensify protests underscores the growing discontent among citizens, who are increasingly losing patience with the government’s inability to address their concerns.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the government will respond to the group’s demands and the indefinite protest.
