OSUN STATE: Governor Adeleke Celebrates Birthday, Crowned as “Asiwaju of Ede Land”

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, was bestowed with the chieftaincy title of Asiwaju of Edeland during his 64th birthday celebrations in Ede Town.

The Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, honored him in recognition of his service and impact on the community’s progress.

Attended by high-profile figures like former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other state governors, the event was a notable gathering of dignitaries.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Adeleke expressed his commitment to spearheading the development of Edeland and Osun State.

The title was previously held by his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, demonstrating a continued legacy of leadership in the Adeleke family.

The conferral signifies approval of Governor Adeleke’s ongoing efforts in statewide infrastructure and public welfare initiatives.

The PDP extended congratulations, highlighting Governor Adeleke’s alignment with the party’s manifesto through tangible projects in various essential sectors. They conveyed prayers for his continued good health and successful tenure.

In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, on behalf of the party, PDP congratulates Governor Adeleke on his 64th birthday and his new title.

“Our Party is proud of Governor Adeleke’s massive delivery of life-enhancing infrastructural, citizens empowerment and human capital projects in all critical sectors including power, healthcare, education, road construction, water resources, agriculture and food production among others in line with the manifesto and policy thrust of the PDP,” the statement read in part.

“The PDP rejoices with Governor Adeleke on his birthday and conferment as the Asiwaju of Edeland and prays to God to bless him with many more years of celebration and good health to the glory of His name,” a part of the statement also read.
