President Tinubu Urges Youths To Shelve Protest Plans, Demands More Time To Address Grievances.

In a bid to quell growing unrest, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerian youths to shelve their plans for protests and give his administration more time to address their concerns.

This plea comes after a meeting with the President, where the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, was tasked with conveying Tinubu’s message to the masses.

According to Idris, Tinubu has listened attentively to the grievances of the youths and is working diligently to address the challenges facing the nation.

“Mr. President said he listens to them and takes what they say seriously; and he is working assiduously to ensure that this country is good not just for today but also for the future,” the Minister explained.

Tinubu’s appeal is timely, as it comes on the heels of the National Assembly’s expedited passage of the national minimum wage bill, a move seen as a testament to the President’s commitment to addressing the concerns of Nigerians.

Idris emphasized that this development, coupled with other interventions, demonstrates the President’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens.

The Minister urged youths to grant the President more time to realize his vision for the country, stating, “The young people out there should listen to the President and allow the President more time to see to the realization of all the goodies he has for them.”

In a further gesture of goodwill, the government has approved the distribution of grains and rice to state governments, a move aimed at alleviating the suffering of Nigerians.
