Rotary Club of Akowonjo, District 9111 Installs Dare As 39th President

The event was the installation ceremony of Ben Dare as the 39th president of the Rotary Club of Akowonjo, District 9111 and the venue was Ostra Hall, Ikeja, Lagos. 

The occasion which featured men and women from different walks of life also witnessed fundraising and the induction of the 2024-2025 Board of Directors”.

Speaking at the ceremony, the newly installed president of the Rotary Club of Akowonjo, District 9111, Ben Dare expressed his gratitude to the members for counting him worthy to be their  president, adding “ this investiture ceremony marks a significant moment in my life, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me to lead this incredible organisation’’.

Sharing his vision for the Club, he said:  “my vision for our Club is one of unity, collaboration, and innovation. I believe that by harnessing the collective talents, resources, and passions of our members, we can achieve great things and create a better world for all.

In addition he said: “I am committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and service excellence within our Club, and I am confident that together, we can overcome any challenge and make a lasting impact’’.

Describing commitment as the driving force behind Rotarians actions, he said it  is fuel that propels them forward in their quest to serve others.

In his words: ‘’As Rotarians, we are bound by a deep sense of commitment to making a positive difference in the world and upholding the ideals of Rotary’s Four-Way Test in all that we do.

“Let us reaffirm our commitment to service, integrity, diversity, and leadership, and let us hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of ethical conduct and excellence. Let us remain steadfast in our dedication to our Club, our community, and the values that unite us, even in the face of challenges and obstacles”.

On the importance of unity, he said it is the foundation upon which their Club stands, adding “it is through our collective strength and solidarity that we can achieve meaningful change.

“As members of this esteemed organisation, we come from diverse backgrounds, professions, and experiences, but we are united by a common purpose, to serve others selflessly and make a difference in the world.

“In the spirit of unity, let us set aside our differences, embrace our shared values, and work together towards our common goals with a sense of camaraderie, respect, and understanding’’.

However, he appealed to fellow Rotarians to continue to serve so as to make a lasting impact in their community and beyond.
