SECURITY: UK Celebrates President Tinubu’s Security Efforts and Governance Transparency

British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Montgomery, has praised the security strategies implemented by President Bola Tinubu. Achievements have been noted in governance transparency and accountability within his first year in office.

Montgomery conveyed the UK’s backing for Nigeria’s government and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at a dialogue in Abuja focused on realizing our global ambitions on the theme, “Nigeria’s Global Ambitions: From Hope to Reality.”

The UK’s expression of support was met with Vice President Kashim Shettima’s affirmation of the agenda’s mission to position Nigeria as a leading investment hub.

The administration’s commitment to bolstering democracy, fostering economic growth, empowering the youth, and leveraging the diaspora’s contribution is encapsulated in the ‘Tinubu Doctrine’ of foreign policy.

Shettima also announced a forthcoming $10 billion Diaspora Fund aimed at fostering stronger ties with Nigerians abroad and bolstering economic development at home.

The Vice President detailed an expansive investment in the manufacturing sector and infrastructure development initiatives, illustrating the administration’s proactive approach to economic reform and security.

In conclusion, He invited international partners to join Nigeria in a collaborative journey towards democracy, development, and stability in the post-pandemic world.
