Senate President Denies Proposal For New Aircraft For Tinubu

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has refuted claims suggesting that the 10th Senate was contemplating the acquisition of new aircraft for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. Speaking to journalists in Maiduguri, Akpabio dismissed the reports as false.

In a statement released by his media aide, Jackson Udom, Akpabio clarified that during his visit to Borno State to offer condolences to Senator Tahir Monguno on the loss of his father, he addressed the rumors circulating about purchasing a new plane for the President and Vice President.

Akpabio emphasized, “I want to debunk the rumor that suggests the Senate President mentioned plans to procure a new aircraft for the President and Vice President, regardless of the challenges faced by Nigerians.” He attributed the misinformation to propagandists and detractors who fail to acknowledge the positive efforts of the government.

He commended the improved security situation in Borno State, attributing it to the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and urged continued support for the administration.

Akpabio encouraged Nigerians to remain patient, have faith in the government, and trust that the collaboration between Tinubu and Shettima will lead to economic growth and well-being for the nation.
