Tinubu Swears Walson-Didi Jack As New Head Of Service

In a ceremony held at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

She succeeds Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, who served in the position from March 4, 2020, until August 12, 2024.

Walson-Jack, born on August 27, 1966, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Lagos and was called to the bar in 1987.

She has served in various roles, including Solicitor-General of Bayelsa State, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, and Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education.

President Tinubu praised the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Yemi-Esan, for her exceptional tenure and commitment to duty.

He also encouraged Walson-Jack to step into her new role with wisdom, integrity, and guidance from God.

The swearing-in ceremony was followed by the Federal Executive Council meeting, which is expected to deliberate on various memos, including road projects in Kano and Benue states.
