Tinubu, UAE Leaders Set to Deepen Economic Ties at ADSW

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Abu Dhabi on January 12, 2025, for the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) summit, an event poised to drive global sustainable development. The summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” runs from January 12–18, gathering world leaders, policymakers, and innovators.

Tinubu’s attendance, at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, underscores Nigeria’s commitment to advancing sustainability. “This summit offers Nigeria an opportunity to showcase its energy reforms and deepen ties with the UAE,” said Dada Olusegun, the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, via his X post.

In his address, Tinubu is expected to outline reforms in energy, transportation, public health, and economic development, emphasizing Nigeria’s strategic pivot toward a sustainable economy. The forum offers a platform to explore partnerships that could enhance Nigeria-UAE relations and attract investments into key sectors.

ADSW is a major international event aimed at accelerating the global transition to sustainability while fostering socio-economic progress.
