World Bank Announces Plans To Empower Women

The World Bank has recently announced its wonderful Gender Strategy 2024-2030, tackling gender inequality and fueling women’s economic advancement.

This plan will also ensure that women participate in the global economy through an increase in access to broadband, social protection, and capital.

Even World Bank President Ajay Banga has emphasized the transformative power of women’s economic engagement. He said, “It boosts the global economy, strengthens families and communities, and lifts millions out of poverty.”

So, By 2030, the strategy aims to connect over 300 million women to broadband internet and unlock vital services, financial inclusion, education, and job opportunities.

Social protection programs will also support over 250 million women, prioritizing the most vulnerable. Also, 80 million women and businesses led by women will gain access to crucial capital, ensuring a better life and bright future for the women.

This approach also recognizes the connection between gender, poverty, ethnicity, and disability. The World Bank has also reaffirmed its commitment to bridging these gaps, fostering a much better future.

Finally, The Gender Strategy from 2024 to 2030 is going to embody hope and dignity for all women worldwide, energizing and revealing their hidden potential.
